Thanks for stopping by my “used to be a dam” which led me here. After 34 wonderful years of public school teaching, I am on the offramp to retirement which will definitely open space for volunteering. I am superexcited to work with the Washington Trails Association, though there are no end of projects I look forward to joining. Thanks for promoting causes of shared interests. Something tells me you might like this note I recently posted: https://substack.com/@louj1/note/c-86318408?utm_source=notes-share-action&r=270xom
Thankyou for your comment! I'm happy to hear that you are looking forward to volunteering! It is such heart warming work. And also thankyou for the link to the note you articulate the importance of balance perfectly! I also love the photo!
High five from the mitten of Michigan to the volunteer Colorado crews! I’m learning the hard way too that it’s going to be a way of life, but it’s encouraging to see so many people getting involved and getting after it, this worthwhile work for our world. Beautiful winter images too!
Thankyou for such a thoughtful and nice reply! We absolutely need to focus on the good around us! Are there any such volunteer efforts you are aware of in Michigan?
You are absolutely right - conservation volunteers work so hard and do such a great job and I for one am eternally grateful :-)
